Clemson basketball team okay after terrorist attacks in Spain

Clemson University reports that the Clemson basketball team is okay after a white van ploughed into a crowd of people in Las Ramblas area of Barcelona, Spain on Thursday.

“We’ve been in contact with our men’s basketball program currently in Barcelona and the entire travel party is safe and secure,” Clemson University spokesman Joe Galbraith said in a statement. “Their exhibition game for tonight has been cancelled and the team will return to Clemson as previously scheduled tomorrow morning. Our thoughts are with the people of Barcelona.”

Currently, the Clemson men’s basketball team is locked in its hotel, which is right across the streets from where some of the attacks occurred.
