Clemson will be in the market for a point guard in the 2020 recruiting class with the departure of Shelton Mitchell after this season.
The Tigers will have only one true point guard in the program next season in freshman Al-Amir Dawes, unless one is added in the spring signing period. One prospect they like in the 2020 class is 5-foot-11 Deivon Smith of Loganville, Ga., who was recently offered by the Tigers.
“Coach Dean and coach Brownell attended my game at Wheeler this past week and based off my performance offered me,” Smith said.
