Game 1: Clemson 8 VMI 6
With Friday’s game moved to Saturday, the Tigers and Keydets got the cold, wet double header going with some red hot offense. The two teams entered the 7th inning deadlocked at 6-6 when Jordan Greene launched a 2 run homer to put Clemson on top 8-6. Matt Clark and Carson Spiers pitched the final two innings to hang on to the lead and give Clemson the win. VMI and Clemson combined for 17 hits on the day. Clark got the win for Clemson (1-0), while Nathan Light picked up his second loss on the head (0-2).
