Clemson baseball was unable to complete a three-game series sweep of Boston College as the Tigers suffered a 3-2 loss in Sunday’s series finale at BC.
Still, Clemson won two of three games against the Eagles and is now 18-6 (6-3) through the first three weeks of league play.
The Tigers managed only five hits against Boston College in Sunday’s loss as Eagles starter Mason Pelio did not allow an earned run in 6 2/3 innings of work. He struck out eight batters.
Clemson took a 1-0 lead in the first inning thanks in part to an error, before Boston College answered with an unearned run of its own in the bottom of the first to tie the game at 1.
