Clemson Baseball Defeats South Carolina, Owns The State

The Clemson baseball team picked up a victory over in-state rival South Carolina in the third and final match-up of the series. The Tigers took 2-of-3 from the Gamecocks, including a shutout victory on Fluor Field in Greenville on Saturday.

Redshirt Freshman Alex Eubanks got his first career start and delivered big time. Eubanks went 7.2 innings and allowed just one run on six hits, while striking out eight batters.

Pitcher Alex Bostic pitched the final 1.1 innings and picked up the save for the Tigers. After Friday night, the Clemson pitching staff allowed the explosive South Carolina offense to just score one run the final two games of the series.
