MacGregor is a right handed pitcher from East Lake High in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He was selected in the second round by the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday and as the 68th overall pick.
He has decided to turn pro and had this to say to the Tampa Bay Times, “I’m looking forward to playing professional baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates.”
The Tigers lack quality depth in the bullpen and the 6’3 MacGregor could have really helped them next season. He was 7-1 for East Lake this season and improved his fast ball from the high 80s to the low 90s.
