Carter likely to play big role in Miami game

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney says defensive back Ryan Carter is ready to go for Saturday’s noon kickoff against Miami at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. Carter missed last week’s game against Boston College due to an injury to his hamstring.

“He has had a good week and he has worked his way back in. He is ready to go,” Swinney said following Wednesday’s practice.

The Tigers (6-0, 3-0 ACC) will need Carter against a Miami offense that likes to throw the ball all around the yard. The Hurricanes lead the ACC in passing yards per game, while quarterback Brad Kaaya leads the ACC at 299.
