Cardiac Cats do it again

Weston Wilson’s two-out base hit to centerfield in the bottom of the 10th inning scored Eli White from second base, lifting No. 16 Clemson to a 7-6 victory over Western Carolina on Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

It marked head coach Monte Lee’s 300th career victory.

It was a crazy night at the ball park. After a one-hour and 26-minute delay due to inclement weather, the Tigers and Catamounts played to a 6-6 tie through nine innings. In the bottom of the ninth, with Wilson at the plate, the lights to the stadium went out causing a 21-minute delay.
