Clemson defensive end Austin Bryant had eight tackles after replacing Shaq Lawson in the Tigers’ Orange Bowl win over Oklahoma.
Bryant replaced Lawson after the All-American defensive end suffered a knee injury on the game’s second series. Bryant said the experience in the Orange Bowl was huge for him as he now takes over permanently for Lawson, who has since entered his name in the 2016 NFL Draft and is expected to be a first-round selection.
When The Clemson Insider caught up with the sophomore defensive end following one of the Tigers’ spring practice last week, he told us he learned a lot from playing behind Lawson last year.
