South Carolina and Clemson will be represented in this year’s S.C. Football Hall of Fame class.
Former Gamecock Bobby Bryant and former Tiger Steve Fuller are part of the five-member class released Wednesday. The rest of the class includes former Spartanburg and NFL running back Stephen Davis, Erskine’s Dode Phillips and Greer/Georgia’s Steve Greer.
Bryant, a Georgia native, lettered in both football and baseball at South Carolina and was named the ACC Athlete of the Year in 1966 and 1967. He still holds the record for the longest punt return in Gamecocks history (98 yards).
After college, Bryant was drafted by both the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox but decided to pursue professional football.
