The quarterback position has largely been the heart and soul of the Clemson machine this decade. After Tajh Boyd bust onto the scene as one of Dabo Swinney’s first big recruits, Deshaun Watson took over and led the Tigers to their second National Championship last season.
Now with back-to-back 5-star quarterbacks in Hunter Johnson and Trevor Lawrence in 2018, the hype surrounding the quarterback position in Death Valley is still trending upward.
Clemson usually tries to grab at least one quarterback in every recruiting class, and it’s currently in the process of seeking out one for 2019.
