South Carolina’s 2026 recruiting class has taken another hit.
Four-star CB Peyton Dyer (Duluth, GA) announced a decommitment from the Gamecocks on Tuesday, becoming the third player in the 2026 class to do so.
The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back committed to the Gamecocks back in November but has been keeping his options open by taking other visits as of late. Dyer, who has close to 30 offers, has officials set with Southern Cal and Georgia.
Dyer joins four-star LB Rodney Colton and four-star QB Landon Duckworth as players who have announced decommitments from South Carolina in the 2026 class.
