For only the third time in Clemson history, two players were chosen in the first round of the NFL Draft. Former Clemson linebacker Stephone Anthony was picked No. 31 overall by the New Orleans Saints in Thursday’s 2015 NFL Draft.
Defensive end Vic Beasley was the No. 8 overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons earlier in the first round.
Anthony’s pick by the Saints, along with Beasley’s, marked the third time in history two former Tigers were chosen in the first round of the draft. The 1979 and 1982 draft classes had two first-round selections as well.
