As expected, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson five-star linebacker Owen Pappoe named Clemson among his top schools on Sunday evening via social media.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State and Tennessee also made the cut for Pappoe, one of the top prospects in the 2019 class regardless of position.
The announcement didn’t come as a surprise as far as Clemson is concerned. Pappoe told The Clemson Insider last weekend that the Tigers would be in his top group.
“I’m going to go ahead and spoil it,” he said. “Clemson is in it.”
Pappoe (6-0, 207) has around 40 offers, including ones from Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Southern Cal and Tennessee.
