In committing to Clemson, Kelly shunned offers from Alabama, TCU, Oregon, Kansas State, Georgia, Michigan and Florida State. Many other programs also showed interest in the 6-foot-5, 255 pounder.
Kelly will in a year join a Tigers squad that ranked first in the nation in total defense last season and has gone 61-26 (39-14 ACC) in six-plus seasons under head coach Dabo Swinney.
