Less than three weeks after receiving an offer from Clemson, Saint Simons Island (Ga.) Frederica Academy four-star defensive back Jaylin Simpson made his first visit to Death Valley on Sept. 9 when the Tigers defeated Auburn.
The 2019 prospect left Clemson very impressed, and told The Clemson Insider recently that he will “more than likely” return for the Florida State game on Nov. 11.
“I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to coach Swinney, so I’ll be looking forward to that next time,” Simpson said.
Jeff Scott, Simpson’s area recruiter for Clemson, traveled to Frederica Academy earlier this month to watch Simpson and his teammate, 2019 four-star receiver Jashawn Sheffield.
