Four-star cornerback Trayvon Mullen (Pompano Beach, FL) announced that he has commited to the Clemson Tigers over LSU and Florida State. He joins a Clemson class that ranks No. 8 in the country, according to 247sports.
Mullen shocked many by picking to Clemson as he appeared to be favoring LSU. However, Mullen said he felt at home during his official visit to Clemson on Jan. 15, saying it had a "special atmosphere."
Another factor that played into his decision was the opportunity for early playing time with the Tigers, as they lose nine defensive starters from last year's ACC championship team - including five defensive backs. Expect him to step right in and fill the void left by Mackensie Alexander, who is leaving early for the NFL Draft.
Mullen is ranked as the No. 6 cornerback and No. 60 overall player in the country, including the No. 10 player in the state of Florida.
