Wednesday brought some good news and bad news for Clemson Tiger fans. The good news is that RB Wayne Gallman said on Twitter that he's returning for one more season. The bad news is that DE Kevin Dodd announced he'll enter the NFL Draft.
It was a breakout season for Dodd, and it's not exactly a surprise he's turning pro after a great National Championship game. Dodd recorded three sacks against Alabama. It capped a season in which he had 12 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss.
"After speaking with my family, I have decided to apply for early entry into the 2016 NFL Draft," Dodd said in a statement. "Leaving Clemson is an extremely tough decision, but I truly feel like I am physically and mentally ready for the next challenge. We had an amazing season. I am so proud of what we accomplished and I am so thankfully for the opportunity to play football here at Clemson."
Gallman led the Tigers on the ground in his redshirt sophomore campaign. He racked up 283 carries for 1,527 yards and 13 TDs. He'll pair with QB Deshaun Watson to form one of the best backfields in college football next season.
