Yasiel Puig received a standing ovation for jumping above the right-field wall and reaching into the crowd to catch a foul ball to end the sixth inning Sunday, but it may have been costly.
With the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth inning, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu fouled a pitch down the right-field line. Puig gave chase into foul territory, leaped at the wall and secured the catch as he crashed into the padding and fell to the ground. Puig immediately grabbed his left elbow after landing on the ground and rolling over to his side.
