It was a 32-minute half-inning that had a little bit of everything: six hits, three walks, a pitching change, an error, a few minutes of pouring rain and Reds shortstop José Iglesias provided the grand finale with a grand slam.

The Reds erupted for 10 runs in the second inning – all nine starters scored – and cruised to an 11-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in their series opener Monday at Great American Ball Park. The Reds had seven straight batters reach base in the frame, handing the Pirates their ninth consecutive loss.
