CINCINNATI -- Jesse Winker stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning with a chance to put the Reds in front. Cincinnati had just broken through against Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks, who was pulled after he walked Eugenio Suarez to bring in the Reds' first run.
Winker crushed a 1-0 fastball from Hendricks' successor, Randy Rosario, well over the wall in right-center field for his first career grand slam. It was Winker's fourth home run of the season and gave the Reds a 5-2 lead.
