Why Tyler Naquin could move up to second in the Cincinnati Reds batting order

GOODYEAR, Ariz. –– When Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tyler Naquin made his first start with the team, in the second game of the 2021 season, Naquin was hitting seventh in the batting order.

Before the 2021 season, Naquin was one of the last players to make the team. He started the second game of the year because center fielder Nick Senzel was out with an injury, and Naquin went 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBI.

After the first two weeks of the season, Naquin was one of the team leaders in OPS and RBI. He kept moving up in the order throughout the season as he established himself as one of the Reds best left-handed hitters.
