GOODYEAR, Arizona – It was one of those moments when David Carpenter felt like he had nowhere else to turn.
It had been three years since he last pitched in the Major Leagues. He didn’t pitch well in Triple-A and was released by several organizations. He tried to keep his career alive by pitching in an independent league. After he was released by the Arizona Diamondbacks in spring training 2018, he knew he may be out of opportunities.
He sent a message to Kyle Boddy, the Driveline founder, about training with them and entering their throwing program.
