Hunter Greene, the Cincinnati Reds' first-round draft pick - No. 2 overall - in 2017, shared via Instagram on Sunday night that he's in Cincinnati, with the caption "GO TIME."
It is not yet known whether the Reds are adding him to their 60-man player pool.
The Enquirer's Bobby Nightengale wrote in late June that some teams will add their top prospects to player pools to aid their development without a minor-league season, but the Reds left off top prospects like Greene from the initial list.
"He's a guy we're trying to figure out how to continue to maximize this year for him," Reds GM Nick Krall said of Greene.
