Marty Brennaman has been the play-by-play voice of the Cincinnati Reds since 1974. He was the 2000 recipient of the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Ford C. Frick Award - which is why he's often referred to as the Hall of Famer - and he has a "retired microphone" at Great American Ball Park alongside microphones honoring Waite Hoyt and Brennaman's longtime broadcast partner, Joe Nuxhall.
Brennaman has been inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame and the National Radio Hall of Fame.
The 75-year-old Brennaman is not, however, a Reds Hall of Famer.
