PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania – Before the 2022 season, Cincinnati Reds General Manager Nick Krall explained why he believed the Reds could have a better bullpen this year than they had in 2021.
“We’ve got a better group of younger, closer players in regards to our bullpen,” Krall said. “We were a little bit short, coming into last year, and we tried to force some things. We’ve got some good players up and down who have a chance to add quality there.”
The Reds entered this season with a much younger bullpen. Alexis Díaz, Art Warren, Tony Santillan and Joel Kuhnel haven’t yet played a full MLB season.
