With five straight losses and 8.5 games behind the first place St. Louis Cardinals it’s obvious that something is wrong with the Cincinnati Reds’ offense. It would be easy to blame Walt Jocketty or Bryan Price or even the team’s perceived inability to hit with runners in scoring position. But what is specifically wrong with the offense? Why aren’t they winning more games? The easiest answer is to say they aren’t scoring enough runs, which is true, but they aren’t doing as bad as you might think.
