There weren't many silver linings in the Cincinnati Reds' 13-0 loss in Thursday night's series finale in Cleveland, but one of them was position player Matt Davidson's eighth-inning effort as a relief pitcher - which included a strikeout of the first batter he faced - the Indians' Mike Freeman - on a curveball.
Reactions:
It was Davidson's fourth career relief appearance - first with the Reds. He's pitched four innings with three strikeouts, without allowing an earned run.
