Walks haunt Wade Miley, but Cincinnati Reds still able to beat Oakland A's

MESA, Arizona – Someone mentioned that Wade Miley walked three batters Friday.

“Four!” Miley said. “I got four in my head. I hope it was only three.”

It was four, indeed.

Miley, the 33-year-old veteran left-hander, went 2 u2153 innings and allowed five runs on two hits. He walked four and struck out three. Three of four batters who walked ended up scoring. It was Miley’s second outing of the spring. Miley gave up three runs on four hits in 1 u2153 innings in his first outing with the spring.

The Reds came back from down 2-0 and 5-4 to win 11-5 and improve to 5-6-1 on the spring.
