Wade Miley became the 17th pitcher in Cincinnati Reds history to pitch a no-hitter Friday, the first since Homer Bailey in 2013.
Miley struck out eight in the 3-0 victory against Cleveland. The only things that kept him from a perfect game were a Nick Senzel error in the sixth inning and a walk two batters later.
Cleveland hit just three balls into the outfield against Miley, who was mobbed by his teammates on the mound afterward. Teammates showered him with Gatorade and bubble gum in a post-game interview.
