CINCINNATI -- Joey Votto's long home run drought is over and it came as part of the deluge of Reds grand slams in 2018. With the bases loaded in the second inning, Votto took the ball out deep to right field vs. the Padres on Saturday at Great American Ball Park and gave Cincinnati a 7-0 lead.
The Reds already had three runs in the inning against Padres lefty Robbie Erlin when Votto -- the ninth man to bat in the rally -- came up with the bases loaded and two outs. On a 2-1 fastball, Votto pulled Erlin's pitch into the right-field seats.
