Tyler Stephenson clubs walk-off homer to lead Reds past Pirates, 3-1

Tyle Stephenson might not have been called up to rescue the Cincinnati Reds season, but he might just try to do it anyway.

Summoned from the bench in the Bottom of the 7th inning in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Stephenson clubbed a walk-off 2-run tater, one that came just minutes after Pittsburgh had tied the game in the final frame and taken much of the air out of the day’s balloon.

He’s surely not going to just bash dingers like Mike Piazza all the way through his career.
