About the time Kyle Schwarber sent a Tyler Mahle fastball sailing into the left-field seats, a lot of TVs around Redsland likely switched over to “Wheel of Fortune.”
It was the second home run Mahle allowed in the first inning, and a two-run deficit has been a big hill for the Cincinnati Reds to climb this year. But Mahle settled in and the bats remained as hot as they were in the doubleheader sweep in Milwaukee.
The result was a 6-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs on a rainy night at Great American Ball Park.
