SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – It was Tyler Mahle’s second outing of the spring, but the Scottsdale Stadium scoreboard made him look like he was in mid-season form, repeatedly flashing 95 mph on his fastballs.
Mahle was sharp and efficient in his two innings against the San Francisco Giants. He threw 23 of his 28 pitches for strikes. He struck out the side in the second inning. His fastball hit the corners and top of the strike zone, producing several swings and misses.
