Tyler Mahle carried a no-hit bid through 6 2/3 innings Sunday, but that became a distant memory when the Cincinnati Reds’ bullpen coughed up a two-run lead in an eighth-inning meltdown.
The San Francisco Giants sent 10 batters to the plate in the eighth inning against three separate Reds relievers. The Giants totaled five hits in the inning, none bigger than Evan Longoria’s go-ahead, three-run homer off Art Warren.
