Smacking a go-ahead double into the left-center gap in the eighth inning Saturday, Tucker Barnhart nearly skipped with joy when he approached second base.
With two runners on base and two outs, Barnhart drilled a full-count fastball from Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Archie Bradley to the fence. A pinch-hitter, Barnhart clapped several times and screamed, “Let’s go!” toward his teammates in the dugout.
It was the start of a two-out rally in the eighth inning, highlighting a 6-3 comeback win at Great American Ball Park.
