Kyle Farmer socked a dinger, Tucker Barnhart did, too, and that was pretty much all the Cincinnati Reds offense could muster on the day. I suppose it’s worth noting that Joey Votto did chip in with a very-Votty single, run, and trio of walks, but whatever.
Pair that with yet another mediocre (at best) outing from Trevor Bauer, and that’s a recipe for a straightforward defeat at the hands of the New York Mets, which is exactly what happened.
Go get ‘em next year, Reddos.
