The Good
–One game winning streak! One game winning streak!
–Rookie hurler Michael Lorenzen is your player of the game, tossing seven strong innings, allowing one run on two hits. It was his best start in the big leagues, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Lorenzen is better than Jason Marquis, and his best days are ahead of him.
–The Reds entered the bottom of the ninth tied at one. Marlon Byrd walks to lead off the inning. Kris Negron sacrificed him over to second. (I won’t even argue with the sacrifice, since playing for one run is justified in this instance.
