Titanic Struggle Recap: The Late Show with Ramon Cabrera (but no win)

The Good
–Ramon Cabrera was 4-4 tonight with a double. Good for that kid.

–In the seventh inning, Jay Bruce absolutely destroyed a homer to right-center, his 21st of the season. It pulled the Reds within a run, at 4-3. It was also the first hit of the game from a Red who wasn’t named Ramon Cabrera or Jason Bourgeois.

–Is the nice season enjoyed by Pedro Villareal the biggest surprise of the 2015 season? I dunno, maybe. Tonight, Villareal pitched a shutout fourth inning at a time when the Reds needed to keep the game within shouting distance.
