The Good
–The Reds wore throwback 1976 uniforms, and they were oh-so-good. The Reds should wear them every day.
–Billy Hamilton went 2-3 with a triple, a walk, and a stolen base. Any time Hamilton gets on base three times, it’s a good day.
–Jay Bruce had a two-run single in the fourth inning. That actually gave the Reds a brief lead.
–Michael Lorenzen made his return to the Reds, and struck out the first hitter he faced on back-to-back 99 mph fastballs. He threw one 100 mph to the next hitter. (To be continued…)
The Bad
–(…continued from above) Lorenzen then promptly gave up a double and a two-run homer.
