The Good
–Eugenio Suarez was 3-4 with a double. Jose Peraza had two more hits. Brandon Phillips had a couple of hits, as well.
–Billy Hamilton just had one hit, but it was just another day for him in the field:
If Hamilton doesn’t win the Gold Glove, it’ll be a complete joke. By far the best defensive center fielder in either league.
–Tony Cingrani pitched a perfect eighth inning.
The Bad
–The Reds out-hit LA, but hit into a couple of double plays that didn’t help their cause. In two other innings (the sixth and the seventh), Cincinnati had two on with two out, but Scott Schebler and Joey Votto couldn’t get any runs across.
