The Good
–Tucker Barnhart was 2-3, the only Red with more than one hit. Billy Hamilton made a great play in center field.
That pretty much covers the “good” from this game.
–(Actually, Blake Wood and Ross Ohlendorf pitched two scoreless innings, and that’s pretty good.)
The Bad
–Reds only got one run on 6 hits. That’s not good.
–Joey Votto struck out three times in four at-bats. Adam Duvall did the same, but at least he had one hit and a run batted in.
Not-So-Random Thoughts
–Miami’s Jose Fernandez is a good pitcher.
