The Joe Nuxhall Memorial Honorary Star of the Game
In a low scoring game that featured extra innings, an overnight suspension of play, a rain delay upon the resumption of the game, and a pinch hit appearance by Mike Leake, there really wasn't much to pick from for player of the game honors. So the two Reds catchers will share the JNMHSotG honors today. Tucker Barnhart, who started the game, and Brayan Pena, who entered the game as a pinch hitter and stayed in after Barnhart was pulled for a pinch runner, combined for four hits with Barnhart representing the only Reds run of the game.
