'They had their lineups stacked:' Cincinnati Reds fall as the San Francisco Giants strike late

When the game ended, the Cincinnati Reds had used five of their seven available relief pitchers and the San Francisco Giants’ bench was empty.

On Tuesday night at Oracle Park, the Giants started seven left-handed hitters and used all five right-handed batters on their bench. After the Reds went to their bullpen, manager David Bell and Giants manager Gabe Kapler went back-and-forth bringing in pinch-hitters and relievers from the bullpen.

It came down to Reds right-handed reliever Lucas Sims facing Giants right-handed infielder Wilmer Flores with two-runners on base in the seventh inning.

Flores hit a sacrifice fly to center field and drove in the go-ahead run as the Giants beat the Reds 7-6.
