These Cincinnati Reds remind one player of World Series champion Kansas City Royals

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Christian Colón delivered one of the biggest hits in Kansas City Royals history, driving in the game-winning run to clinch their organization’s first World Series title in 30 years in 2015. His 12th-inning pinch-hit single in Game 5 of the World Series was his first at-bat in the entire series.

Colón, an infielder, received a non-roster invitation to spring training with the Cincinnati Reds during the offseason. He says he feels a similar vibe between his former Royals team and his new club.

“I just think that the star players here like (Matt) Kemp, (Yasiel) Puig, Scooter (Gennett), (Eugenio) Suárez, (Joey) Votto,” Colón said, “everybody is making everybody feel comfortable, which is something I saw in Kansas City with our players and with everybody.
