MIAMI – If the Cincinnati Reds hadn’t decided to rebuild, then Luis Castillo would have been throwing 99 mph fastballs and devastating changeups on the mound at loanDepot Park on Tuesday night.
Brandon Drury would have been playing third base. Tommy Pham would have hit third in the order. Tyler Mahle would have been preparing for his next start.
None of those players are Reds anymore. Beginning Tuesday night, in a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins, the Reds turned the page.
