The 2021 Findlay Market Opening Day Parade has been postponed, parade officials announced Friday.
"Until the Cincinnati Reds are permitted to fill the stadium to full capacity and there are no restrictions on group events, we feel we cannot put on the type of extravaganza you have come to expect on Opening Day," parade chairman Neil Luken wrote in a Friday press release.
Luken wrote the parade was planned and prepared over "literally hundreds of hours" and cost thousands of dollars before it was canceled due to the new coronavirus pandemic. Luken wants to avoid that loss this year.
