I’ve already accepted your apology for having not realized that the Cincinnati Reds still have a baseball game to play today. I’ve accepted it with the caveat that you didn’t need to apologize in the first place, I’ll note.
The Reds were shut out in their 4-0 loss to the New York Mets at Citi Field just yesterday, in the process dropping to 68-75 in yet another dismal season. Today, they’ll turn again to rookie Julian Aguiar for the start, his 6.48 ERA on the line opposite Mets starter Luis Severino.
The news of the day is that lefty reliever Sam Moll was placed on the 15-day injured list with an impingement in his throwing shoulder, something that most likely will call time on his 2024 season altogether.
