CINCINNATI -- Third baseman Eugenio Suarez continues to clear fences. Suarez connected for a home run in the bottom of the second inning on Friday vs. the Phillies, extending his streak to a club-record-tying fifth consecutive game with a homer.
Suarez lifted a 3-2 slider from pitcher Nick Pivetta and watched it clear the wall in center field for his team-leading 24th homer of the season.
That made him the eighth Reds player in history to reach the club record for consecutive games with a homer.
