ST. LOUIS -- The Reds placed reliever Drew Storen on the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday with a right elbow strain.
The move is retroactive to Sunday, however, the right-hander has not pitched since Sept. 1. Storen is taking a week off from pitching as of Wednesday, which ultimately led to the club's decision.
"[Storen] tested it again yesterday. [It] just wasn't a good experience," manager Bryan Price said before Wednesday night's game against the Cardinals. "That's what makes it realistic to put him on the DL because we know he won't be able to pitch in a game for a week.
